FAQ

Is this financial advice?

No. It is software for recording, replaying and testing. It does not know your circumstances and makes no claim about future results.

Is it affiliated with Papertrade?

No. stradefi is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Papertrade or Hyperliquid.

Does it trade with real money?

Only when you switch a bot to live. Dry-run is simulated: live prices, fake fills, nothing at stake. Live sends real orders with real USDC. Despite the name, Papertrade is not paper money (next question). Every bot starts dry, and live needs its own confirmation, typing the bot's name. Access opens through the waitlist, dry-run first.

What is Papertrade?

A real on-chain perpetuals exchange on HyperEVM. You deposit USDC. Only BTC and ETH are listed. Opening a position is free, there is no funding rate, and winners pay a win fee. Winners are paid from a USDC liquidity pool, and when the pool is thin payouts wait in a queue, so a win is not always paid at once.

It is a third-party venue with its own risks: smart-contract risk, pool and queue risk, outages and rule changes. Papertrade allows automated trading, so bots are allowed. stradefi is independent and not affiliated with it.

When can I use it?

No date yet. Join the waitlist for one email when access opens.

Will it make money?

We do not know, and neither does anyone else. Most scalping strategies lose after fees. The point of the tool is to find that out cheaply, in simulation.

Why does the optimizer say "noise"?

Because the tape behind the result is too short to tell skill from luck. Record more, or widen the time frames.

How much tape do I need?

About 1 h 20 m of covered tape is the least that allows a test on unseen data, and two days is the least that allows day-by-day validation with held-out days. The selection meter in the app tells you where your frames stand and what the next level needs. More tape does not make a bad setting good, but it does make a result easier to believe.

Can I download the market data?

No. The tape is private. The manager's own recording stays on your computer. The hosted service runs your backtests against a tape we record, on our runner, and you get results back, not prices.

What data do you collect?
